All this week, we’ll be posting the shortlisted photographs in the Digital Lightroom ‘Spring’ photo competition. On Saturday, we’ll post all the pictures together and you’ll then have the opportunity to vote for your favourite. Voting will be open for 5 days and the winner will be announced on Friday the 29th March.

This picture is very nicely composed. The use of depth of field is spot on with the background blurred to just the right degree. We can still see the flowers but they’re not competing with the subject of the picture, the frog of course, which is beautifully sharp. A technically very accomplished photograph.
